Donald E. Guthrie, age 72, of 718 Jefferson, died on Monday, August 2, 2010 in his home with his daughter and a grandson, Michael at his side. He was born on January 11, 1938 in Hannibal, MO the son of Alvin & Vira (Nutgrass) Guthrie. He married Marjorie M. Miller on November 22, 1975. She preceded him in death on July 15, 2000. Donald retired from the Premier Linen and Towel Service. He was of the Baptisit Faith. Donald enjoyed camping and the outdoors along with fishing. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and in earlier years was also a stock car driver.

He is survived by:
SIX CHILDREN: Terrie Guthrie of Brashear, MO; Diane Robinson of Sturgis, KY; Debbie Guthrie of Las Vegas, NV; Teresa Holmes and her husband Kevin of Centerview, MO, Donna Skidmore and her husband Frank of Evansville, IN and Mary Jo Sapp and her husband Randy of Quincy.
TEN GRANDCHILDREN, numerous great-grandchildren.
1 brother: Darrell Guthrie of Tioga, IL and 1 sister: Laura Pauline Dede of Lorraine, IL along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

In addition to his wife, Donald was also preceded in death by his parents, a son Ricky Guthrie, a granddaughter Lorrie Guthrie, 3 brothers: Alvin “Junior”, Bill “Billy”, and Denny Guthrie and one sister: Evelyn James.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 6, 2010 at 1:00 PM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Quincy Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Blessing Foundation for Hospice.
