Dolores Grimm

Mrs. Dolores E. Grimm age 90, of St. Vincent Home, formerly of 1033 North 5th Street Quincy, died on Friday, Mar. 19, 2010 at 4:40 p.m. in the home. Dolores was born March 24, 1919 in Quincy, the daughter of Herman and Elner (Rottman) Arp. She married Lawrence “Babe” Grimm on December 6, 1941 in Palmyra, MO. He preceded her in death on June 27, 1993.

Dolores was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, baking and playing cards.

Survivors include her son Larry Grimm and his companion Beverly Hawe of Fowler; three grandchildren, Molly Grimm of Fowler, David Grimm of Valencia, CA; and Taryn James and her husband Ralph Waun of Vancouver, Canada. Two sisters, Mrs. Loretta Till of Quincy and Mrs. Olivia Soper and her husband James of Daytona Beach, FL and many loving nieces and nephews also survive.

Mrs. Grimm was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lawrence; her brother Delbert Arp and two sisters, Leona Strieker and Leroyce Arp.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Homeby the Rev. George Tomko. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Friends are invited and may call Tuesday from 10 until the time of services at 11 at Duker & Haugh. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation in memory of Dolores E. Grimm.
