Dolores “Dee” Fortman age 88, of Joliet, IL formerly of Quincy died on Monday, January 15, 2018 in Spring Creek Nursing Home in Joliet.

Dee was born August 15, 1929 in Chicago, IL,
a daughter of Walter J. and Clara (Coe) Lynch, Sr.
She married Norbert “Bert” C. Fortman on October 6, 1951 in St. Catherine Catholic Church in Chicago. He preceded her in death on December 22, 1990.

Dee was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Quincy.

Some of Dee’s hobbies were: calligraphy, ceramics and multiple crafts.

Surviving are her children: Kathy Balzhiser, Susan Potocki, and Kevin Fortman.

Grandchildren: April Balzhiser, Kelli Hurley, husband, Mike, Christopher Sullivan, Katie Fortman, Jessica Fortman and Timothy Fortman.

Great grandchildren: Andrew Miller, Maisie Miller, Logan Hurley, Colin Hurley, Jackson Hurley, Bennett Hurley and Arilyn Fortman.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday,
January 18, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 at Duker & Haugh Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.
