Dolores C. “Dee” (Price) Sparks, age 83, of St. Vincent’s Home, died on Friday, July 5, 2013 in the Home. She was born on March 7, 1930 in Quincy, a daughter of Leonard & Catherine (Shear) Kuhn. She married Donald J. Price in Quincy. She later married Henry Sparks in Keokuk, IA. They both preceded her in death.

Dee was a driver for the Senior Center in Quincy.
She was a member of The Crossing.

Dee was a beautiful lady inside and out. A little sassy and a whole lot sweet! She was caring and nurturing to her family at all times. She was a wonderful cook, and made the best peach pies, homemade noodles and rolls in the world. Dee could make flowers bloom wherever she planted them. She loved to dance. She lived a simple life, but celebrated it always. Dee lived, she laughed and she loved.

Survivors include: her children, Linda (Jerry) Gallamore and Peggy (Steve) Grabenstetter;
Denny (Michelle) Price and Steve (Laura) Price all of Quincy; step-daughters, Janet Bair and Stacy Sparks;
Nine grandchildren, Stacy Gallamore, Tiffany Steinhauser, Travis Siwek, Jared Gallamore, Anthony Grabenstetter, Rebecca McClelland, DeAnn Price, Derek Price and Kelsey Price.
Two brothers, Gerald Kuhn of Quincy and Ralph Kuhn of Grand Junction, CO;
Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her two husbands and her parents, she was preceded in death by a step-son, Tom Sparks.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at The Crossing.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Blessing Foundation for HOSPICE or St. Vincent’s Home. www.dukerandhaugh.com
