Dolores A. Seliner

Dolores A. Seliner, age 94, of Quincy, died on Saturday, June 9, 2018 in Sunset Home. Dolores was born on April 9, 1924 in Quincy, IL to William K. and Henrietta (Henry) Ott.
Dolores attended Quincy Catholic schools and graduated from Quincy Notre Dame. She married Glenn Seliner on October 27, 1951. Dolores was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and sang in the choir. She later became a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She was a mother and homemaker. She loved to sing and was a member of the RSVP Lampe Hi-Rise Kitchen Band that performed and entertained around the area in the 1980s and 1990s. She also enjoyed bowling, playing cards and spending time with her family. She loved to joke and enjoyed making others laugh. She had a smile for everyone. We will miss her smile.
Dolores is survived by six children: Mary (Jim) Brockett of Bloomington, IL, Barbara (Larry) Stoll of Quincy, Angela Lien of Nevada, IA, Carol (Dave) Albee of West Palm Beach, FL, Jerry (Jeannie) Seliner of Quincy and Patty (Vern) Loeffler of Camp Point, IL, ten grandchildren: Stevie Curry, Tim, Joe and Christian Lien, Kristy (Matt) Brown, Crystal (Shane) Livengood, Christina (Jeremy) Fletcher, Gerry Seliner, Brandon (Liz) Williams and Ryan Williams, 13 great-grandchildren, one brother, Hubert Ott of Quincy and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn, her parents, three brothers: Norbert Ott, Gerald Ott and Jerome Ott, and her sister, Marie Meissen.
Dolores’ family would like to thank the caregivers at Sunset Home for the loving care they gave her while she was there.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home with a mass at 10:00 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, by Rev. Chris Comerford. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Sunset Home or to RSVP.
