Diane Elizabeth Stark Palmer, age 65, of Quincy, died on Saturday, February 25, 2017 in Blessing Hospital. She was born on August 2, 1951 in Quincy, IL the daughter and eldest of four children of Russell O. “Candy” and Dorothy (Graham) Stark. Diane was married to Randall J. Porter, father of her only son, Matthew. She was later married to James M. Keefe, father to her only daughter, Cassandra. Diane’s family dates back to the Stark Nursery more than 200 years old and the family name from 1700’s Scotland.

Diane loved her horse Dub-Dara-Diamond and her boxer Klaus. Diane greatly enjoyed reading novels. She liked candies and sweets. Her hobbies included outdoor activities such as hunting, hiking, fishing and camping. She participated in a Sunday night pool league, named “the family affairs” and a dart league for many years. Diane generously donated her hair every 4-6 months for young people suffering from cancer. Diane was a very sweet and loving woman and was loved and cared for by all who knew her. She was kindhearted and outgoing, outspoken and a devoted Catholic. She will be missed.

Her CHILDREN: Matthew Aaron Porter and Cassandra Eileen Lish and her husband Gregory.
HER STEP-MOTHER: Thelma Stark
GRANDCHILDREN Including: Marcus Allen Michel Keefe, Dominic Kile Keefe and James Gregory Matthew Lish
SIBLINGS: Kathy Harris and her husband Dale; James ‘Jimmy’ Stark, and Gretchen Rosson and her husband Randy.
Numerous other relatives also survive.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017 at 10:00 in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:30 in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Blessed Sacrament Parish or to local Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America Troops.
