Diana B. Kahs

Diana Kahs, age 79, of Quincy, IL, died on Saturday, November 3rd, 2018 in her home. She was born on June 23rd, 1939 in Quincy, IL, the daughter of Kenneth & Cora (Brink) Crabbe. Diana was a graduate of Quincy High School. On November 22nd, 1958, she married John “Jack” Kahs in St. Boniface Catholic Church. She had met Jack while ice skating on the Quincy Bay, and their love continued to grow throughout their years together. She and Jack were looking forward to their 60th wedding anniversary this Thanksgiving.

Jack and Diana loved traveling and being outdoors. The two of them traveled the country together, camping at least one night in all 48 contiguous states. Over the miles and years, they made many wonderful memories and friends. They have spent their retirement living in Florida, moving back to Quincy this spring to be closer to their family. Diana enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who always brought a smile to her face, and so much joy to her life. She will be missed greatly, and forever remembered as a loving wife, mom, grandma, and great-grandma. Diana was retired from Boatmans Bank. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and was also a member of the Ladies of the Blue Knights.
