Dennis Ray Vincent
Dennis Ray Vincent, age 59, of 1510 W. Granview Drive, Quincy, died on Monday, March 15, 2010 at 1:55 p.m. in his home. He was born on March 31, 1950 in Quincy, Illinois, a son of Raymond Charles and Anna Marie (Carper) Vincent. He married Marilyn McNary on June 28, 1997 in Hannibal, MO. She survives.
Before his retirement due to ill health, Dennis was a truck driver for 35 years, and he was also a limousine driver.
Dennis was of the Protestant Faith.
He enjoyed old cars, collecting Coca-Cola items, and he loved his grandchildren and his dogs, Wally & Shadow.
In addition to his wife Marilyn, survivors include:
HIS MOTHER: Anna Marie Vincent;
ONE SON: Jason Vincent and his wife Shelly of Lewistown, MO;
ONE DAUGHTER: Denise Goodwin and her husband David of Lewistown, MO;
ONE SISTER: Tami Davis and her husband Ray of Quincy;
THREE GRANDCHILDREN: Darrol Layman, and Tyler and LaDonna Vincent.
One nephew and one niece also survive.
Dennis was preceded in death by his father, and a sister, Margaret Marie Vincent.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 19, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home by Rev. Gary Livesay and Rev. Kevin McGinnis. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Chaddock.

Marilyn Barb and I are so sorry to hear of Dennis passing. I worked with him in 1975-76 at Davis Cleaver. My dad and his dad Ray worked together at Motorla many years. They were good “buddies” away from work. All of them are gone now and are missed.

Wish I could be there but I can not because of
ill health and no transportation. Iwill be thinking of you ole buddy.
Please know Dennis will be missed so very much. We loved his never meet a stranger and love of life. He had such a great presence when he would enter a room. Such strength he carried with him. Physical and in spirit. We know he will always be on the road trucking for Jesus now. We also know his first love was you Marilyn. May the Lord give you a special strength through this time.
