Delford D. Cadwallader, age 94, of the Illinois Veterans Home, formerly of Hull, IL, died on Sunday, March 1, 2009 in the Illinois Veterans Home. He was born on April 21, 1914 in Payson, IL the son of Roy & Mary (Masters) Cadwallader. He married Margaret Mary Baugher on April 1, 1934 in Hannibal, Missouri. She preceded him in death on October 18, 2006.

Delford was a life-long farmer. He also retired as a manager of the MFA. Delford served in the United States Army during WWII. He was a member of the Hull Methodist Church and was a 32nd Degree Mason.

Delford is survived by:
TWO CHILDREN: Billy D. Cadwallader and his wife Ann of Quincy, Illinois and a daughter, Charlet E. Davis and her husband Jon of Springfield, Missouri. Nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren along with other family members survive.

In addition to his wife, Delford was preceded in death by his parents and three grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. in Kinderhook Cemetery conducted by Rev. Chad Thompson. There is no visitation but family and friends are invited to the graveside services. Memorials may be made to the Illinois Veterans Home. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
