Debra Sue Perkins

Debra Sue Perkins, age 68, of the Sunset Home, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, February 12, 2023.  She was born on January 19, 1955 in Quincy the daughter of Jesse and Leona (Eston) Perkins.

Debra worked at various places in the Quincy area, most notably McDonald’s and Blessing Hospital.  She was a member of Union Baptist Church.  Debra loved crafts and even made jewelry.  She also liked to sew and to draw.

Debra’s greatest love was her family.

She is survived by:  THREE SIBLINGS: Zonia Clay; Gloria Perkins and Sheila Shaw.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Debra was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings: Circa Clay, Michael Perkins and Pat Dawson.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at 12:00 noon in the Union Baptist Church .  The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

    I am so sorry for ur loss. I hadn’t seen Debbie I years but we were good friends in high school (class of 1973) & seen her a few for years after graduation. I see her sister, Sheila quite a bit. Debbie was a sweet person who was always happy when I wld see her. RIH Debbie

    I’m am so very sorry for your loss. Debbie and I went to school together and were in the same graduating class. We also worked together at Sunset Home. She was a great friend.
