Debra “Debbie” L. Steinbrecher
Debra “Debbie” L. Steinbrecher age 55, of Quincy, formerly of Plainville, IL died Sunday, February 25, 2018 at 11:52 p.m. in Blessing Hospital. Debra was born March 20, 1962 in Quincy, a daughter of Donald A. and Mary (Burwinkel) Steinbrecher, Sr.
While she was attending Quincy College, Debbie worked in the Dietary Aide at the former St. Mary Hospital. For the last 28 years she has worked at Good Samaritan Home in the Accounting Department. She truly loved her job and providing help to patients and their families.
She was a 1980 graduate of Quincy Notre Dame High School and a 1984 graduate of Quincy College.
Debbie was a member of St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church.
Debbie loved being outdoors and camping. She traveled a lot; taking road trips and spontaneous weekend trips whenever possible. She was a Cubs baseball fan and a known Mickey Mouse fanatic and collector. Debbie’s nieces and nephews were a very important part of her life and she enjoyed being present for their activities.
Survivors include her mother, Mary Steinbrecher and sisters and brother, Margaret Steinbrecher; Donnie Steinbrecher and his wife Laurie; and Carol Steinbrecher all of Quincy.
Nieces & Nephews: Jennifer Darrow and her fiance’, Oscar Kovalski; Anna Keithley and her fiancé, Christian McNay; Melissa Allen and her husband Jeremiah; William Steinbrecher and his fiancée Rachel Trowbridge; Katie Medley; and Kari Ann Steinbrecher and her significant other, Brady Genenbacher.
Great Nieces & Nephews: Elizabeth, Monico and Scarlett; Lance, Priscilla and Alcie; Hannah, Henry and Charles; Bailey and Alton; Connor and Vera. Many cousins also survive.
She was preceded in death by her Dad; a brother, David Steinbrecher, a sister, Mary Frances Steinbrecher and one nephew, Rob Steinbrecher.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 2, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home.
