Debra “Debbie” J. Daggs, age 64, of Ursa, went to be with her heavenly father after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, September 13, 2021. Debbie is survived by the love of her life and companion of 30 years, Sandy Constable. She was born December 30, 1956 in Quincy, the daughter of Dolan and Mary Ann (Biesterfeld) Daggs.

Debbie is a graduate of Highland High School, the Class of 1974.

Debbie especially enjoyed delivering upfitted trucks for Knapheide throughout the country. She was the coach for the Little Devils Program for 4th and 5th grade for several years which she took much pride in. She enjoyed playing basketball, volleyball, and softball. Debbie also enjoyed the outdoors, putting in a garden, working with flowers or sitting by a campfire. She liked playing cards and dominoes with friends and family. She always looked forward to going to Arizona in the winter. But, most of all she loved spending time with her immediate family as well as her extended family. She enjoyed playing with the children and loving them.

In addition to Sandy, survivors also include her sisters: Karen (Joe) Schroeder of Ewing, MO, Sharon (Jim) Schlager of Canton, MO, Lori Adrian of Hannibal, MO, brothers: Jerry Daggs of Canton, MO and Doug (Joy) Daggs of Ewing, MO; her extended family: Corie (Curtis) Royer of Ursa, Amy (Charlie) Huddleston of Lake Charles, LA and John (Niki) Constable of Glen Ellyn, IL; grandchildren: Abby and Bella Huddleston, Canon Royer, Addy, Jayce and Nora Constable. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Dolan and Mary Ann Daggs, a brother Greg and three nephews, Johnny Lay, Patrick Schroeder and Dalton Daggs all of Ewing, MO.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. in the Salem Evangelical United Church of Christ by Pastor Matthew Hunt. Visitation will be held on Thursday at 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. in Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Blessing Hospice or the Salem Evangelical United Church of Christ.
