Deane F. Wilmot, age 85, of 6306 Hickory Grove North, died on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 10:20 PM in Blessing Hospital. He was born on June 14, 1926 in Frederick, IL the son of Hollis & Frona (Gust) Wilmot. He married Rose Marie Berg on July 6, 1947 in Everett Washington. She survives.

Deane was employed as an electrician in the Quincy area and later retired from Quincy Soybean Co. in 1988. Deane was a veteran of WWII, serving in the United States Naval Air Force. He was a member of Luther Memorial Church.

In addition to his wife he is also survived by:
TWO CHILDREN: Dan Wilmot and his wife Kris of Valley Springs, CA; Sue Roberts and her husband Richard of Fowler, IL
FIVE GRANDCHILDREN: Chantelle Travis, Jannean Wilmot, Jeff Wilmot, Johnathan Wilmot and Tim Wheeler.
Nine great-grandchildren, a sister: Joann Loring along with numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

In addition to his parents, Deane was also preceded in death by a brother Ronnie Wilmot in childhood.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 11:30 AM in Luther Memorial Church by Pastor Chris Hale. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:30 Am until the time of the services at the Church. Memorials may be made to Blessing Foundation for Hospice or to Luther Memorial Church. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
