It is with deep sorrow I would like to extend our condolences to the entire Humphrey family. We lost a good man…and I lost a great friend. Family I know how much he loved you. He was one of the most loyal person I know, starting with his mom.
As I note how so many talked how Deanie helped them, I feel compelled to share how much he helped many others, including me.
Deanie was there to work with me when I started a carpet cleaning business, he was always available to chaperon the kids in the Self Help program when they cut grass to earn money. He was always there to help at the Redmon Lee festivals directing and keeping the kids safe with the go karts. I still run into grown adults that talk about how he road on the back of the go karts when they were scared to drive them alone.
When we sold our first home it was to Deanie and his family. We travelled to concerts together and shared many laughs. We had FUN!!
It’s been said that ‘friends’ are the spice of life. So I feel so blessed to be able to call him my friend.

Deanie was so competitive. He loved to compete. Be it as a Point Guard at Webster school, to the High School varsity wrestling team, to cards, dominoes and video games with friends.
Deanie loved his children. Tylette and Lil’ Dean, you’ll see your Dad every time you look in the mirror. Joshua…I listened to your dad brag about your academics more times then you can imagine. He was really proud of you. God Bless you Brenda for making him a proud Dad again. Rest in Peace my friend.
With much love…The Eddie Fletcher family.

Man, “Uncle” Dean! You helped me so much when I moved out into my own apartment. You always made sure I was okay and that I locked my doors at night. I couldn’t have asked for a better neighbor. You kept me on my toes and in line. It hurts me to know you are gone. It hurts me to know, that your children have lost such a great man. My Condolences to your entire family. You are all in my prayers.
