David L. Ahern, Jr.

David L. Ahern, Jr., age 42, of Payson, Il, died on Saturday, February 25, 2017. He was born on November 2, 1974 in Quincy, Illinois the son of David Ahern & Donna Klitz Ahern. He married Tiffany Garnett on June 14, 2003. She survives.

Mr. Ahern worked in the HVAC field in the Quincy area.

David loved his family and giving hugs to all his family & friends. He enjoyed anything to do with the outdoors, especially hunting & fishing. He also loved his dog, ‘Spade’.

In addition to his wife, Tiffany, David is also survived by:
2 sons: Zakkary Perry of Payson, IL and David Ahern III also of Payson.
STEP-MOTHER: Susie Ahern
SIBLINGS: Patty, Alicia, Amber, Denny, Chad, Tasha, Paul, Bonnie, Caty, Alexus & Evin Ahern.
Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins all of whom he loved very much also survive.

David was preceded in death by his mother and father.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial service will be held at the Fall Creek Rest Area on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 2:00 PM. Memorials may be made to the family.
The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
