Darrell Dean Riffey
Darrell Dean Riffey, age 76, of Barry, IL, passed away at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 8, 2016 in Blessing Hospital in Quincy. He was born on December 19, 1939 in Franklin, IL, a son of Eldon & Lucy (Crawford) Riffey.
Darrell was a 1957 graduate of Franklin High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Army soon after graduation, serving until 1960.
He greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors.
Survivors include a special friend, Evelyn Collins, a brother, Donald Riffey of Wamego, KS and a sister, Sharon Shannon of Pittsfield, IL. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers James and John Riffey and an infant sister Ethel Mae Riffey.
According to Darrell’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Private services will be held at a later date. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

I’m so saddened by the passing of my brother, he was such a kind man to me and visited me several times, as well as I did him and accepted me into the family with open arms. I will miss him dearly…..I love you brother! RIP
