Darlene Carol Russell

Darlene Carol Russell, age 42, of 638 N. 553rd Lane, Quincy, died on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. in Blessing Hospital Emergency Room. She was born on July 8, 1971 in Quincy, a daughter of Lavon “Sonny” Logan & Kathy J. Russell.

Darlene was a 1989 graduate of Quincy High School. She had been employed at local nursing homes as a CNA.

She was a fan of Chicago Cubs baseball and coached several years for the neighborhood federation baseball league.

She is survived by: her parents, Sonny and Kathy; one daughter, Laci Rae Wert and her fiance’ Josh Milane of Quincy; one son, Jacob Allen Yates of Quincy; her significant other, Donnie Yates of Quincy; a grandson, Talen Milane of Quincy; a sister, Terri (Jeff) Clayton of Quincy; a step-sister, Lisa (Randy) Boren of Pittsfield, IL; nieces & nephews including Brittney Welch, Jeffery & Abbigail Clayton; a great-niece Haleigh Welch; and great-nephew Parker Eberle. She is also survived by aunts, uncles & numerous cousins and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents and two aunts, Connie & Bonnie Borenson.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home by Rocky Murry. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family. www.dukerandhaugh.com

    R.I.P. Sweet Angel!!! I can’t get u off my mind…im so depressed and sad and all kinds of emotions flooding my mind! I do not no how much more I can take! Anxiety has me trapped in my home…Im praying u can hear my cries or maybe aunt Elsie somebody I need direction what do I do?! I can’t bear another funeral right now! I loved u in life and thats how I want to remember you! Bty we have this picture of u! True beauty lil indian girl! Im praying for laci and her baby jacob and ur signicficant other, ur mamma and pops who btw helped to raise me 🙂 love them so much terri clayton who has lost piece of her heart when she lost you.
