Daniella G. Kendrick

Daniella G. Kendrick, age 85, of Quincy, died on Friday, February 17, 2023 in her home.  She was born on February 16, 1938 in St. Elizabeth Hospital in Hannibal, MO, the daughter of Eugene Daniel and Mary Gertrude (Spalding) Kelly.  She married Henry Juett Kendrick on December 27, 1956 in Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Monroe City, MO.  He survives.

 

Daniella was a homemaker.  She had worked previously as a secretary to Attorney John F. ‘Jack’ Spalding.  She had also worked as a waitress and also at Diemakers in Monroe City.  She was previously the Director of Religious Education for Holy Rosary Parish in Monroe City and had also worked at Bonworth Clothing in Quincy.  In Monroe City, she operated a fabric shop,  ‘Stitch’n’Knit’.

 

Daniella was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Quincy.  She had previously been a member of Holy Rosary Church in Monroe City, MO.

 

Daniella enjoyed raising her family.  She was involved in prayer groups and various church activities including Teens Encounter Christ, Cursillo, Residents Encounter Christ and Marriage Encounter.  She also enjoyed playing cards and board games.

 

IN addition to her husband, she is also survived by:

TWO CHILDREN: Shawn Gerard Kendrick of Quincy and Andrew Joseph Kendrick (Deanna) of Bridgeton, MO

FOUR GRANDCHILDREN: Megan Danielle Kendrick, Adam Joseph Kendrick, Jonah Francis Kendrick and Mark Andrew Kendrick.

Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

 

Daniella was preceded in death by her parents, sons: Kevin Kelly Kendrick and Juett Gerard Kendrick, siblings: Rev. Eugene Daniel Kelly, SJ; Mary Margaret Conboy along with her husband Jim; and Kathleen Ann Jelinske along with her husband Robert.

 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 11:00 AM in St. Peter Catholic Church.  Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery at a later date.  Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of the services at 11:00.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Peter Catholic Church or School, to Chaddock or to the Charity of the Donor’s Choice.  The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

    Juette – your sweet lady is with Jesus! How great is that! You and Danielle were a couple that Nan and I always looked up to. Remember the good times and know you are in my thoughts and prayers.
