Daniel Charles “Danny” Brillhart, age 62, of Timber Point Health Care Center, Camp Point, IL, formerly of Burnside, IL, died on July 18, 2011 in the home. Daniel was born on October 24, 1948 in Macomb, IL, a son of Charles and Esther (Grove) Brillhart. Known to most as “Danny”, he lived with his parents on the old Grove farm, 3 1/2 miles south of LaCrosse, Illinois.

Danny loved farming and all that went with it. Farmall and John Deere tractors, baling hay, and raising livestock were his greatest enjoyments, often becoming very fond of his animals.

He also enjoyed community events, Blandinsville Summer Picnic, LaHarpe Summerfest and attending worship services at Burnside Methodist Church. Watching fireworks on the Fourth of July and the children’s Christmas programs at his church were some of his other favorites.

Danny graduated from LaHarpe High School in 1966, then attended Gem City Business College.

Declining health and a light stroke eventually led Danny to seek nursing home care and he has resided the past 9 1/2 years at Timber Point Nursing Home.

Danny is survived by two sisters, Susan Archambo of Quincy and Esther Anne Maynard of Clifton, CO. One uncle and aunt and several nieces, nephews & cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home by Rev. Robert Morwell. Interment in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday beginning at 12:00 until the time of the services. Memorials may be made to the Donor’s Choice.
