Dale W. Phillips
Dale W. Phillips, age 69, of Kingston, died on Sunday, March 27, 2022 in Blessing Hospital. He was born on February 10, 1953 in Quincy the son of Melvin K. & Rose E. (Leezer) Phillips. Dale was a graduate of Liberty High School. Dale was a truck driver in the area and worked many years for Lumley Trucking. He was of the Methodist Faith.
In his free time, Dale liked to fish. Also, as his friends and family will attest to, Dale liked to collect many things.
Dale is survived by:
HIS CHILDREN: Wayde Phillips (Sheila) of Palmyra, MO; Angela Hatty (David) of Gladstone, MO; Kyle Phillips (Karie) of Palmyra, MO; Sarah Phillips of Hannibal, MO and Joseph Phillips of Lewistown, MO.
HIS SILBINGS: Raymond (Teresa) Phillips: Roger ( Mary) Phillips; Sharon (Steven) Frese; and Mark (Heather) Phillips.
Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives also survive.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: John Phillips, Anita ‘Patches’ Phillips Brown and Richard Phillips.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. in Beverly United Methodist Church in Beverly, IL with the Rev. Marty Pressey. Interment will be in Mound Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at Duker & Haugh Funeral Home in Quincy. Memorials are suggested to Mound Prairie Cemetery.
Roger, I am sorry for the loss of your brother. I remember Dale from high school—kind and quiet. May happy memories comfort you now.
We are so sorry to learn of Dale’s passing. We just returned from being out of town and did not know until now ( Thursday, 2:50 p.m.)! I feel so badly to have missed the visitation and funeral!
Dale was a kind man. He showed me kindness and compassion when others were being mean. Heaven has gained another angel. My thoughts and prayers go to all his family and friends.
