Dale Russell Cox, Jr. age 67, of Quincy, died on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 12:44 a.m. in Blessing Hospital. Dale was born on January 18, 1951 in Danville, IL, a son to Dale and Juanita (Gagnon) Cox, Sr. He married Pamela Nelson in Aurora in April 1970. She preceded him in death in June 1986.

Dale retired as a brakeman with Burlington Northern Railroad.

He is survived by:
TWO DAUGHERS: Shannon (Dave) Morgan of Naples, FL and Rebecca (Matt) Potts of Oswego, IL.
BEST FRIEND/COMPANION: Monique Sanders of Quincy.
FOUR GRANDCHILDREN: Paige, Ryan, Natalie and Julie.
ONE GREAT GRANDDAUGHTER: Harper.
TWO SIBLINGS: Teri Michel of Yorkville, IL and John Cox of Aurora, IL.
Many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins also survive.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and two siblings, Candy Skinner and David Cox.

There are no formal services planned at this time. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor’s choice. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
