Dale G. Houston

Dale G. Houston, age 84, of Quincy, IL, died on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, in his home. Dale was born in Quincy on October 30, 1939, the son of Clem and Emma (Hull) Houston.

Dale was a woodmaker and loved the outdoors especially enjoyed fishing. He loved his great grandbabies the most.

He is survived by his sister: Maxine Hudelson; his sons: Rick (Tonya) Houston and Mike (Lisa) Houston; Son-in-law: Rick (Kathy) Bridgman of Burton, IL; son-in-law: Dennis Hall, and two daughters-in-law: Judy Mason of Liberty and Carol (Yvon) Levasseur of New York.

Survivors also include grandchildren: Blake (Brooke) Houston; Nichole (Chad) McLaughlin; Jacob Houston; Kristen Houston; Zachary (Liz) Houston; James Hall (Taylor Baker), Maggie (Brady) Miller, Lisa Potaznick and her husband Mike of North Carolina, Shannon Hall of New York, Jessica Hall of New York, Melissa Franklin and her husband Jay of Plainville, IL
Michelle Matticks and her husband Josh of Ursa,IL, Amanda Norvell and Stephanie VanBunnen. David Levasseur and his wife Jennifer of New York, Dawn Moller and her husband Alex, Paul Mason and his wife Heather.
as well as great-grandchildren: Jamie, Andrew, and Kaleb Hall; Ginny Hess; Katelynn Franklin, Alyssa Franklin, Arianna Franklin, Breanna Matticks, Kassidy Matticks, Dylan Matticks; Shelby and Wren Moller; Parker and Aiden Mason.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Candy Houston and significant other, Mary Hall and 2 Sons-in-law: James Hall and Edward Hall.

Graveside services with military rites will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at 10:30 AM in the Sunset Cemetery of the Illinois Veterans Home. There is no visitation but friends are invited to the graveside services. Service arrangements are with the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home.
