Dale F. “Dutch” Neisen
Dale F. “Dutch” Neisen, age 72, of 23811 State Hwy J, Lewistown, MO, left this world on Thursday, April 12, 2012 to be with his infant son, Dale Jr. who went to be with the Lord on the same day 31 years ago. Dutch was born on July 6, 1939 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Quincy, a son of Frank and Mabel (Wiewel) Neisen, and brother of 18 siblings.
He married Rita M. Mock on August 6, 1966 in St. Joseph Catholic Church and she survives.
Dutch was a well respected farmer in the Lewis County area. He owned and operated what was formerly Lewistown Feed and Farm with his brother, Paul. Dutch loved farming with his family and giving his grandkids rides in the tractor and combine.
He served two years in the U.S. Army in Munich, Germany from 1963 – 1965. Dutch was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ewing, MO, where he served as an usher.
He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #7296.
In addition to his wife, Rita, he is survived by two sons, Doug Neisen and his wife Julie of Palmyra, MO and Darren Neisen and his wife Jennifer of Lewistown; six granchildren, Jordyn, Gage, Brianna and Zachariah Neisen (his little farming buddy) and Tyler and Allison McConnell; eight brothers, Paul (Berniece) Neisen of Lewistown, Gene (Judy) Neisen and Jerry (Nedra) Niesen all of Quincy, IL, Glen (Judy) Neisen of Ewing, Wayne Neisen of Little Rock, AR, Tom (Kathy)Neisen of Fowler, IL, Ronnie Neisen of Englewood, CO and Roger (Stephanie) Neisen of Fort Worth, TX; four sisters, Florence Clark of Phoenix, AZ, Marian (James) Williams of Dallas, TX, Barb (Ron) Duesterhaus of Mendon, and Ramona (Robert) Hyer of Liberty, IL. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Dale, Jr., five brothers, Frank, Jr., Melvin, Virgil, Raymond and Richard Neisen; and one sister, Carolyn Welsh.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 16, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 11:00 a.m. in Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ewing, MO by Rev. Basil Eruo. Interment with military honors will be in Queen of Peace Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

I am sorry that I can’t be there physically, but you can be assured I am thinking of of you. My prayers go out to Rita and their children during this time of sorrow and loss.
