Dale E. Wakefield, age 72, formerly of 837 South 14th, Quincy, died on Thursday, January 19, 2012 in the Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Palmyra, MO. He was born on October 16, 1939 in Camp Point, IL the son of Earl & Ruby (Tournear) Wakefield. He attended school in Quincy. Dale worked for Quincy Building Materials for many years. He later worked for Sand’s Construction Company.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 23, 2012 at 1:00 PM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Quincy Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 PM. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the Maple Lawn Nursing Home.
