Cynthia A. Johnson

Cynthia A. Johnson, age 74, of Quincy, died on Monday, January 31, 2022 in Blessing Hospital. She was born on September 11, 1947 in St. Louis, MO the daughter of Lee & Marge (Appel) Lampert. She married H.B. ‘Scott’ Johnson on June 13, 1969 in St. Louis, MO. He preceded her in death on March 20, 2001. Cynthia was in advertising sales in the Quincy area for many years. She was a long-time member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

Cindy was an avid reader. She greatly enjoyed theatre, traveling the world and wine.

She is survived by:
HER CHILDREN: Stacie Neathery and her husband Mike of Indianapolis, IN and Carrie Johnson and her fiancé Kurtis Eisenhuth of Nashville, TN.
GRANDCHILDREN: Alexa Gehbauer and her husband John, Scottie Neathery, Connor Neathery, Madeline Neathery and Mary Eisenhuth.
GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Adrian Harris and Tyler Gehbauer.
ONE SISTER: Sandy Ameis and her husband John.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

In addition to her husband, Cindy was also preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 9:00 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 9:30 AM in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Interment in Sunset Cemetery of the Illinois Veterans Home. Visitation will be held on Monday at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home from 4:00 until 6:00 PM. Memorials may be made to the Quincy Humane Society or Quincy Community Theatre. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

    Cindy always had a smile and a wonderful sense of humor. A truly kind person who will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

    At Friday yoga class, 1/29/22, Cindy made a point to come up to me after yoga class on the Friday before she passed, just to say hello. She Always a smile and seemed to be happy!

    I practiced yoga with Cindy the last few months @ Bodhi. She always made us laugh. A lovely lady!
