Cynthia A. Fischer, age 84, of the Good Samaritan Home, died on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 in the Home. She was born on August 16, 1934 in Quincy the daughter of Frank Carl & Marie Elizabeth (Mennel) Fischer. Cynthia was a 1952 graduate of Quincy Notre Dame and was a graduate of the St. Mary Hospital Nursing Class of 1955.

Cynthia was a Registered Nurse and worked in healthcare for 41 years locally and in California. She retired from the Adams County Health Department in 1996.

Cynthia was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and a former long time member of St. John Catholic Church. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Cynthia liked to travel, reading and playing cards.

She is survived by:
FOUR SIBLINGS: Judith (George) Caspermeyer of Quincy; Dennis (Mona) Fischer of Quincy; Ron (Jackie) Fischer of Springfield; and Steve (Patty) Fischer of Altoona, IA.
SISTER-IN-LAW: Mary Fischer of Quincy
13 Nieces and Nephews and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews and other relatives also survive.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Alan Fischer, a sister: Sr. Marilyn Fischer S.F.P. and a nephew Jerry Fischer.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 9:30 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:00 AM in St. Francis Catholic Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Quincy Notre Dame or to St. Francis Catholic Church.
