Clifford E. Williams

MONROE CITY, Mo. — Clifford E. Williams, 68, of Monroe City died at 8:25 a.m. Monday (April 21, 2008) near Monroe City. He was born Sept. 10, 1939, in Quincy, Ill., a son of Roy and Nellie Simmons Williams. He is survived by a sister, Hazel Burton and her husband, Jack, of Quincy, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Vernon Williams, in infancy. SERVICES: graveside memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Greenmount Cemetery in Quincy. VISITATION: There is no visitation but friends are invited to the graveside services. ARRANGEMENTS: Duker and Haugh Funeral Home in Quincy.

    Clifford and I had been friends since the day when he worked for Quincy Compressor. He would visit my husband and me at our place and many times we went hunting together. He was a great person, and I will miss him dearly. I am so sorry for your lost. God Speed, Georgia Hawkins
