Claudia Renee Montgomery, age 67, of Quincy, died on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 in Quincy. She was born on April 1, 1955 in Quincy, IL and was raised in Clayton, IL. She was the daughter of Claude and Doloris (Long) McElvain.

Claudia collected angels, western figures and crosses.

She is survived by:
TWO SONS: Matthew Montgomery (April) of Quincy and Randall Montgomery of Clayton, IL.
GRANDCHILDREN: Kailyn Walker (Mason) of Clarksville, TN; Owen Montgomery and Jersey Montgomery both of Quincy.
Numerous great-grandchildren, other relatives and a dear life friend Della Peters, whom Claudia considered a ‘Sister by another Mother’ and two special angels, Shanna Laws and
Keri Eckles.

Claudia was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Claude McElvain, Jr., and Richard ‘Rick’ Mulvaney and a special cousin Rebecca Thompson.

Cremation rites have been accorded and no formal services are planned at this time. Memorials may be made to the family to help with expenses. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
