Clarence E. “Dunny” Maas, age 84, of the Sunset Home, formerly of Liberty, IL, died on Saturday, December 20, 2014 in the Home. He was born on June 10, 1930 in Quincy, the son of Elmer J. & Coletta (Wellman) Maas. Mr. Maas was a truck driver and had also worked in farming.

Survived by: CHILDREN: Donald Maas, Mark Maas, Larry Maas, Bonnie Swanson & Connie Lamtz.

SIBLINGS: Gerald Maas, Raymond Maas, Melvin Maas, Robert Maas, Thomas Maas, Elmer Maas, Rosemary Benz, Florence Smith, Clara Neisen, Lucille Nieders, & Barbara Hilgenbrinck. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Preceded in death by parents, two sons Ronnie & Johnny Maas, a brother Virgil, sisters: Loretta Klauser and JoAnn Dreyer.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 5, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Greenmount Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Sunset Home for their Elevator Fund.
