Christopher L. Elder
Christopher L. Elder, age 54, of Quincy, IL died on Sunday, September 2, 2018 in Blessing Hospital. He was born on December 13, 1963 in Quincy the son of Patricia (Trenter) Elder. Pat’s husband Charlie Woodworth helped her raise Chris. Chris worked at Titan Wheel for over 20 years and was presently working for US Cooler. He was an Army Veteran of the Iraqi War.
Chris loved motorcycles and fishing.
He is survived by:
THREE CHILDREN: David Elder and his fiancé Cara Briscoe of Quincy; Richard Elder and his wife Alexandria of Camp Point, IL; and Amanda Pugh and her husband Preston of Greenville, South Carolina.
THREE GRANDCHILDREN: Remmington Elder; Maddison and Jaxson Pugh.
THREE BROTHERS: Matt Elder and his wife Missy; Randy Woodworth and Michael Elder and his wife Michele.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Chris was preceded in death by his mother and step-father along with a sister Angela Hilgenbrinck.
Cremation rites were accorded. Graveside services will be held on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in the Sunset Cemetery of the Illinois Veterans Home. There is no visitation, but friends are invited to the graveside services. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
