Christine Lee Bridgewater
Christine Lee Bridgewater, age 48, of Fowler, Illinois, died on Friday, April 10, 2015 in her home. She was born on November 16, 1966 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Gerald Edward and Barbara Ann (Varner) Ostermueller. Christine married the love of her life, Kent Edward Bridgewater on August 14, 2009 in Quincy, Illinois. He survives.
Christine was a Claims Examiner for Blue Cross and Blue Shield until her passing. She attended St Francis Grade School and Quincy High School. She was a member of Madison Park Christian Church.
Christine was a devoted wife to her Husband and Mom to the kids. She enjoyed working outdoors, gardening, landscaping and enjoyed operating her Kabota tractor. She loved her church. She attended the Cancer Support Group at Madison Park Christian Church which brought her great peace.
Christine is survived by:
PARENTS: Gerald and Barbara Ostermueller of Quincy, Illinois.
TWO SONS: Kristopher and Kaleb Bridgewater of Fowler, Illinois.
FATHER AND MOTHER IN LAW: Thomas and Mary Bridgewater of Liberty Il.
THREE BROTHERS: Gary Ostermueller of Quincy; Larry Ostermueller and his wife Laura of Quincy; Terry Ostermueller of Fowler.
TWO SISTERS: Pam Keller and her husband Jim of Quincy; Ann Freiburg and her husband Patrick of Springfield, Il.:
THREE SISTER IN LAWS: Diana Bridgewater of Rushville, Il.; Theresa Self and her husband Donnie of Rushville, Il.; Karen Eichen and her husband Jerry of Carlinville, Il.
Survivors also include numerous nieces and nephews.
Christine was preceded in death by One Sister; Laura Jane Ostermueller and her beloved dog “Shadow”
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in Madison Park Christian Church. A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday beginning at 5:00 p.m. until the time of services at Madison Park Christian Church. Private interment will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to Blessing Foundation for Hospice or the Cancer Support Group at Madison Park Christian Church. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
We are deeply saddened to hear of Chritine’s passing. We fondly remember dinners with her at our house on Maine St., followed by spirited card games. Chris will be missed but never forgotten. Our sincere condolences to Chris’s family.
Barb, Jerry & family, I am so sorry to learn of the death of your daughter. May you feel Our Savior’s loving arms wrapped around you during such a difficult time. Know that many people are praying for you.
