Christine F. Schmitt
Christine F. Schmitt, age 77, of Quincy, died on December 12, 2021 in Hannibal Regional Hospital. She was born on March 30, 1944 in Berkeley, CA, the daughter of Earl & Mildred (Forrest) Brown. She married Timothy Schmitt on March 1, 2019. He survives.
Christine had studied at the Sorbonne in Paris and went to the London School of Economics. Christine was the Office Manager for American Builders Supply. She was of the Catholic Faith. She loved to shop and her red wine.
In addition to her husband, she is also survived by:
CHILDREN: Heidi Young (Jay); Michael ‘Chip’ Lohman (Deanna); Derek Lohman (Maribeth); and Ilsa Terrell (John ‘Louis’ Degonia).
GRANDCHILDREN: Joshua Lohman (Ashley), Dalton Hiland (Jen), Carley Hiland, Josh Young (Rhonda), Jake Young (Janelle), Josiah Young (Ashley), Caitlin Berkley (Dave), Emilie Lohman Irwin (Owen), Mallorie Walters (Travis), Rachel Lohman, Samantha Lohman, Fletcher Lohman, Alexandria Terrell, Madison Terrell, Bryce Terrell, Zavier Terrell, Ace Degonia.
GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Avery, Khyler, Paisley, Noah, Jude, Eleanor, Joseph, Eliana, Ezra, Rory, Remi, Reagan, Hudson, Graham, Eliose, Ryker, Rowan, Rexton, Mazie, Kayson, Kayzlee, and Kamric.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 10:00 AM in St. Francis Catholic Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to an educational fund for her great grandchildren. Tim, I am sorry to hear of Tina’s passing. The three of us enjoyed so many good times together. My thoughts and prayers are with my friend.
Loved waiting on Tina and Tim at the abbey for many years. Although I haven’t seen her in years I remember her as Such a sweet sweet lady! So sorry to hear of her passing.
