Christine A. “Chris” Ruff

Christine A. “Chris” Ruff, age 62, of 1703 Oak St., Quincy, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 5:12 p.m. in her home. She was born on June 26, 1953 in Quincy, a daughter of Patrick J. & Doris (Altmix) Ehrhardt. She married Robert M. “Bob” Ruff on July 10, 1970 in Palmyra, MO. He survives.

Chris was a 1970 graduate of Quincy High School. She worked for over sixteen years at Harris, now known as Gates Air.

She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church.

Her family was most important to her, and she lived for her two grandsons. She loved to travel, and had most recently been to Boston and Yellowstone National Park.

In addition to her husband, Bob, she is survived by: her mom, Doris Buss of Quincy; her children, Robin (Christopher Thomas) Ruff of Monument, CO, Jason (Tanya Blickhan) Ruff of Quincy, and Michelle Bridgman and her husband Steve of Quincy; two grandsons, Elliott Ruff & Cole Bridgman; siblings, Michael “Mike” Ehrhardt of Quincy, Mark (Denise) Ehrhardt of Barry, IL, Cindy Ehrhardt of Quincy, and Carrie Ehrhardt of Port Townsend, WA; and a sister-in-law, Jana (Jim) Wagner of Quincy. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

She was preceded in death by her father, her step father, Ray Buss and a cousin, Mary Mizera.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 28, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 in St. Francis Catholic Church. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Louis Children’s Hospital or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
