Chester Scott Hammond, age 61, of 619 Chestnut, died on Thursday, August 2, 2018 in TimberPointe Healthcare in Camp Point.

Chester was born on July 5, 1957 in Quincy, a son of Henry LaVern & Ruby Janet (Hess) Hammond.

Chester loved and helped on the family farm.

He is survived by:
A SISTER: Rose Marie Sparks of Edina, MO.
AUNTS: Mary Broomhall of Kahoka, MO and Othelia Smith of Joplin, MO.
UNCLE: Dave Calhoun of Warsaw, IL.
Many cousins and other family members also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Randy Hammond, an aunt Carol Calhoun and uncles Larry Broomhall and Jim Smith.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 12:00 noon until the time of the services at 1:00 p.m. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
