Charles R. Kaltenbach, Jr., age 57, of Loraine, IL, passed away at Blessing Hospital on Tuesday, February 6, 2024. He was born on October 4, 1966 in Quincy, IL. He married Michelle Miller on September 26, 2015. She survives.

He was known as a jack-of-all-trades who enjoyed repairing various items and working for himself as an auctioneer through Hanlin Auction.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by:
HIS FATHER: Charles Kaltenbach, Sr. and his wife Sharon.
SIX CHILDREN: Dustyn Kaltenbach, Trista Kaltenbach, Sheyenne Houston (Shadoe), Brett Kaltenbach, Maya Miller and Aika Mushi.
EIGHT GRANDCHILDREN: Athena, Addilyn, Emma Mae, Keyrra, Keenan, Deondre, Felicity and Alexander.
SIBLINGS: Chad Kaltenbach (Paul), Todd Pippenger (Sherri), Delena Graff (Wes), Pamela Jones (Darren), Kim Hurd (Jeff), Laura Campbell (Scott) and Shawnee Greene.

Charles was preceded in death by his mother Patricia Peters Kaltenbach, a brother Garen Kaltenbach, and a sister Krissy Blocher.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Charles’s life will take place at a later date. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
