Charles Frank “Chuck” Lang, age 68, of 1225 Sycamore, formerly of Canton, MO died on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 in Blessing Hospital. He was born on June 14, 1948 in Quincy, a son of Victor & Dorothy (Coalson) Lang. He married Paula McDermott on October 16, 1988. She preceded him in death on July 30, 2000.

Chuck retired from Titan Wheel after more than fifteen years of service as a machinist.

He loved watching ballgames and being outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and camping, especially sitting by the campfire.

He is survived by his children, Danielle Gordon of Milan, IL, Clint Lang of Moline, IL, April McAfee and her husband Kyle of Canton, MO and Suzanne Summers and her husband Randy of Quincy; grandchildren, Annabelle Gordon, Hanna Gordon, Zander Lang, Emma & Drew McAfee, and Cody, Chase, Caeden & Rowen Summers; step-grandchildren, Cyle & Randy Roos; a sister, Phyllis (Ray) Tysma and a brother, Jerry Lang, all of Moline, IL; and his mother-in-law, Hazel McDermott of Monticello, MO. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his wife, Paula, and his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-mother, Ann Lang and a brother, Sonny Lang.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Grove Cemetery in Canton, MO by Rev. Paul Kinney. There is no visitation but family and friends are invited to the graveside service. Memorials may be given to the family. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
