Charles Allen Markert
Charles Allen Markert age 58, of Ursa formerly of Camp Point, IL died on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at 9:05 a.m. in St. Vincent’s Home, Quincy. Charles was born May 9, 1958 in Quincy, a son of Joseph S. and Peggy A. (Garrett) Markert.
He was a graduate of Camp Point Central High School and went on to get his CAD training at Vatterott.
Charles had attended The Crossing. His favorite things to do included playing with the grandkids, fishing, taking a drive and sight-seeing. Charles was also interested in photography, music and cars.
Survivors include his Mom, Peggy A. Markert of Quincy; his four children, Toby R. Markert of Liberty; Chuck A. Markert, Jr.; Billy Joe Markert and Sarah J. Thacker all of Quincy;
Siblings, Pamela Markert, Quincy, Sam Markert (Lesa), Camp Point, Janet Markert, Quincy, Teresa Linville (Frank), Cross Lanes, WV., Patrick Markert (Catherine Anne), Miami Beach, FL., Andrea Markert, Atlanta, GA., Rebekka Bowen (Geoffrey), Chapel Hill, NC., and Elizabeth Markert, Atlanta, GA; 13 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his Dad, a brother, Mike Markert and a granddaughter, Bella Markert.
Memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2017 in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home by Rev. Paul Lamm. Cremation rites will be accorded. There is no visitation, but family and friends are invited to the Memorial Services. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

So sorry for your loss Chuck, Sarah And Toby. I dont have the words to describe how I feel I got alot of memories Chuck and I will always remember him and the kind of person he was. I sad but feel good knowing He will now be pain free walking thru heavens door bc heaven got another great angel…
