Catherine Linda Mast

Catherine Linda Mast, age 64, of Liberty, was called Home, on Sunday, May 12, 2019 from Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO.
She was born on October 24, 1954 in Edinburgh, Scotland, the daughter of Theodore and Catherine (Bennett) Stice.

Catherine married the love of her life Andrew R. Mast on February 14, 1981 in St. Brigid Catholic Church. She loved being by Andrew’s side on the farm, traveling throughout the US or just staying at home watching their favorite shows. She was called Linda by most but for Andy, she was his Catherine and he was her Andrew.

One of Linda’s best friends was her Mum. They spent countless hours together, including trips to Scotland to visit relatives and explore their heritage.
Linda found joy by devoting her life to family and friends; always taking time to give her love and support to everyone in her life.

Catherine Linda is survived by her husband, Andrew; her parents, Theodore and Catherine Stice, of Camp Point; her mother-in-law, Rosella Hummel of Liberty and siblings: Karen (Wade) Lair of Durham, MO; Brenda Stice of Crestview, FL; Gina Sumler of Milton, FL; Wendy (Jeff) Gunn of Camp Point, IL; and Theodore (Terri) Stice, Jr. of Westerville, OH; a sister-in-law, Bonnie (Terry) Cremer and brothers-in-law; Joe Hummel and Mike (Susan) Hummel;
nieces and nephews: Jessica (Daniel) Wilson, Heather Lair (fiancée, Mat Mikesell), Melissa (Tyson) Ausmus, Alysha (Elijah) Jamal, Andrea (Dustin) Frame, Austin Kestner (fiancée, Kimberly Volk), Audrey Raine Kestner (Adam Mancini), Taylor Lee-West (fiancé Josh Hale), Colin (Brianna) Lee-West, Addison (Austin) Lear, Tiffany (Matt Knight) Cremer and Katelyn Hummel; aunts, uncle, cousin, and many great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law; Robert Hummel and maternal and paternal grandparents.

All services will be held at The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held on Thursday evening, May 16, 2019 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 17, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. followed by Interment in St. Brigid Cemetery, Liberty, IL.

To honor Linda’s love of helping children and animals in need, Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Quincy Humane Society.
