Carolyn Sue Treaster
Carolyn Sue Treaster, age 70, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2019 in Blessing Hospital. She was born on February 3, 1949 in Curryville, Missouri, the daughter of Joseph “Drew” and Margie (Mason) Presson. Carolyn married Robert Lee Treaster on July 18, 1969 in Quincy. He survives.
Carolyn was a graduate of Bowling Green High School and Gem City Business College. She was employed by Quincy Supply and later was a C.N.A. at Camp Point and Mendon nursing homes.
Her priority was her family. She lovingly took care of her husband following his stroke. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved talking with people and wanted to help whenever she could.
Carolyn is survived by her husband and children:
Joe (Kimmie Groves) Treaster, Decatur, Il; Bill Treaster of Quincy; and David (Angela) Treaster of Arnold, MO; a brother, Bill Presson of AZ.
Sisters, Jane Wentworth of St. Charles, MO; and Mary Ann (Phillip)Elliott of Perry, MO;
Grandchildren: Brittany (Daniel) Cromie of Payson; Lisha Turnbow (fiancé, Garrett Leasman) of Mendon; LexieTurnbow (fiancé Brian Bigham) of Quincy; Kevin Turnbow and Rees Treaster both of Quincy; Levi Treaster of Quincy and Keegan Treaster of Arnold, MO. Great-grandchildren: Oliver Cromie; Sonny Stotler; Gracie Turnbow; Scarlet Leasman and Emma Marek. Nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Darlene Seeley.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home, by Major Andy Miller. Private inurnment will be in Curryville, MO Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Duker & Haugh. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to

Carolyn was a hard worker at North Adams Home when I was there. May the family have your hand lord while they go through this most difficult time in life to go above into haven. This picture of Carolyn Sue is how I remember her. Enjoyed spending time with her when we were young girls. Her sister Mary Ann is married to my brother Philip. So sorry for her family’s loss.
