Carolyn M. Doane, age 74, of 3170 Genevieve, died on Sunday, March 20, 2011 in Blessing Hospital. She was born on October 6, 1936 in Quincy the daughter of Robert & Rosalia (Terstriep) Rottman. Carolyn was a graduate of Notre Dame and also the St. Mary School of Nursing. She married LeRoy R. Doane on July 5, 1957 in Quincy. He preceded her in death on March 19, 2005.

Mrs. Doane was a retired Registered Nurse having worked for both the former St. Mary Hospital and the Quincy Clinic during her career. She was a member of the Church of St. Peter.

Carolyn is survived by:
EIGHT CHILDREN: Tarie Tushaus and her husband Jeff, William Doane, Robert Doane and his wife Leslie, Vickie Althaus and her husband Pat, Jamie Doane and his wife Kristine, Kathy Parker and her husband Chris, Dan Doane and his wife Shawn all of Quincy, and Kim Morgan and her husband Tony of Durham, MO.
18 GRANDCHILDREN, 4 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN along with numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

In addition to her husband, Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Suzanne Reed.

A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Church of St. Peter by Father Leo Enlow. Private graveside services will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held at the Church of St. Peter on Wednedsay morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the services. Memorials may be made to the Church of St. Peter or to Quincy Notre Dame High School. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
