Carol Ann Holtschlag age 79, of Quincy died on Sunday, April 20, 2008 at 4:25 a.m. in her home. Carol was born April 1, 1929 in Quincy, the daughter of Roy C. and Sylvia (Abbott) Foust. She married Donald J. Holtschlag on May 29, 1948, he died January 29, 2008.

Carol had worked at the House of Friendship, as a receptionist for Dr. Wensing and at Merchants Wholesale.

She was a graduate of Quincy High School.

Carol was a member of St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church. She was a member of the former St. Rose Altar Society and enjoyed participating in their many activities. She and her husband Don spent many hours together working in their yard and gardening, taking great pride in their home and yard. Carol also enjoyed the time she shared with her good friends.

Survivors include:
TWO CHILDREN: Jona Holtschlag of Quincy and Laurie Edmondson and her husband Tom also of Quincy.
ONE GRANDSON: Jacob Edmondson of Columbia, MO;
A BROTHER: Robert Foust and his wife Dorothy;
Many nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother, Donald Foust.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home with a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. in St, Francis Solanus Catholic Church.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. .
