Carlous Wires
Carlous A. Wires, Sr., age 48, of 706 North 4th, departed this life on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 12:15 a.m. He was born on September 23, 1967 in Quincy, IL the son of Norma Ellen Mosby.
He attended Quincy Senior High School and was multi-talented. He was last employed by Hesse Flooring & Carpet. He also worked for the YMCA as a referee and detailed cars. His hobbies included smoking turkeys, barbequing and cooking. He loved music and was DJ for several events. His favorite pastime was basketball, his grandchildren and his dogs.
He attended the Cathedral of Worship where he served as an usher and attended the men’s bible study.
He met Vivian A. Shelby and later married on August 10, 1986 and to this union were born four children. They all survive.
He leaves to cherish his memory:

HIS FATHER-IN-LAW: Lloydis Shelby, Jr.
Numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by his mother, his grandmother, Florine Signore, a brother Chauvez E. Wires and his mother-in-law: Lou Ann Shelby.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Cathedral of Worship. Interment in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Cathedral of Worship.

Our hearts are filled with great sadness I was friends with both Carlous and Chauvez and I miss them both greatly. I coached Shelby and my wife trained MMA with her on occasion. Our deepest sympathies and condolences to the family.
We were so sorry to hear about Carlous. He did a great job helping the kids in our youth sports programs. He will be missed at the YMCA!

Im lost for words. Worked with Carlos at Manchester Tank for a little bit. Seen pups he had for sale always wanted to get one. Stand up guy always was proud of his kids who I knew growing up with. Never would have thought we would have to say goodbye. Carlos sir Rest in Paradise my friend.

Our prayers and condolences to your family. Ever since i was a kid ive been around the Wires family basically my second family and it breaks my heart. He always went fishing with us always knew how to make someone bad day turn into a day you wont forget and THE BEST COOKER LET ME SAY RIBS FALL OFF BONE, FRIED FISH MELT IN YOUR MOUTH. May the lord wrap his arms around you at this time I am so sorry for your loss. I first met Carlos at Short and Company and when my son got killed at Titan wheel he carried him in his arms to the guard shack rest in peace my friend . Sadly missed

Just a heartfelt note from all of my family to express our sorrow when we heard of Carlos passing. We always enjoyed his company while our families’children participated in sports together. I especially recall fondly Carlos enjoying a good sweat from eating my hot wings at our house after a road game. May God Bless… Doc
