Carlene C. Peters
Carlene C. Peters, age 81, of 1429 Melview Rd, died on October 1, 2015 in her home. She was born on January 6, 1934 in Quincy the daughter of Edward and Edith (Kamphaus) Obert. She married Charles R. Peters on August 7, 1954. He preceded her in death on June 7, 1988.
Carlene belonged to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, was a member of the Altar Society and worked in the library at school. She was active in the prayer chain and serving at the funeral luncheons.
She loved gardening, especially planting flowers, and working in her yard. She enjoyed crocheting and took pride in taking care of her home. She camped and traveled throughout her life, creating many memories with her family. Family was most important to Carlene, time spent with her children and grandchildren was her greatest blessing.
She especially loved Sundays when all of her family would gather for a meal she lovingly prepared.

3 SISTER-IN-LAWS: Sis Obert, Norma Jean Obert and Bea (Art) Hermsmeier
Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her husband, Charles, and her parents, she was preceded in death by one son Clyde Eugene Peters; brothers Virgil Obert and Kenny Obert; sisters Irene Schreacke and Rita Obert; sister-in-law Pat Burgtorf and brothers-in-law, Roger Peters and James Peters.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 5, 2015 at 9:30 in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:00 in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday afternoon from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church or to Quincy Notre Dame.
Such a lovely lady and warm face at St. Mary’s. My thoughts and prayers are with you in your memories and grief.
