Carl J. DeVerger

Carl J. DeVerger age 76, of Timber Pointe Healthcare Center formerly of 191 South Church Street in Plainville died on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 9:50 a.m. in the Center. Carl was born March 2, 1935 in Kinderhook, IL a son of Clifford and Lena (Williams) DeVerger. Carl had worked for many years as a truck driver, and as a farm worker retiring in 1995.

He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1957-1961. He was of the Baptist faith.
Carl enjoyed gardening, working on lawn mowers and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his brother, Robert (Sheila) DeVerger and a sister, Mary Jo Harker all of Quincy ; two sisters-in-law Eloise DeVerger of Quincy and Ann DeVerger of Ohio.
His loving companion, Joyce Warning of Quincy;
His special children, Kevin (Becky) Warning of Quincy;
Wayne (Tina) Warning of Canton. MO; Angie (Daryl) Ballard of Mendon, IL; Cassie Warning and Jennie Phon of Chicago, IL; and special grandchildren, Christopher Robertson of Quincy; Ashley Prince of Mendon and Alisha Ballard of Quincy; Sara and Mason Warning of Quincy;
A special great-grandaughter, Adelyn Weber of Mendon and several nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Ed, Charles, Eugene and Ray DeVerger,
Two sisters, Iva Hardy and Bertha Marie DeVerger.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, November 7, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in Quincy Memorial Park, by Ronnie Wellman. There is no visitation, but friends are invited to the graveside services. Memorials are suggested to Blessing Foundation for Hospice.
