Byrniece Juette Kircher
Byrniece Juette Kircher, age 94, of Quincy, IL died on Sunday, April 8, 2018 in Blessing Hospital. She was born on September 30, 1923 in Palmyra, MO the daughter of Lawrence & Katherine (Lochman) Juette. She married Kenneth Kircher on November 25, 1947 in Sacred Heart Church in Effingham, IL. Kenneth preceded her in death on March 1, 2008.
Byrniece graduated from Palmyra High School in 1941. She was employed by Palmyra State Bank for several years and then later worked in the Adams County Clerks Office. Byrniece and her husband Ken enjoyed traveling, reading and vacationing. They greatly enjoyed spending part of their winters in Mesa, AZ.
Byrniece was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and a former member of St. John the Baptist Church. She was a member of the Elks Auxiliary, the Democratic Women and the Ladies of St. Francis.
Byrniece is survived by:
TWO DAUGHTERS: Kathy Rose and her husband Tom and Jeanne Sanders and her husband Richard.
GRANDCHILDREN: Erin Saalborn and her husband Scott; Katherine Dunahoo and her husband Michael; Meredith Fitch and her husband Nick; and Richard K. Sanders.
GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Brynn, Evelyn and Caitlyn Dunahoo, Maura Fitch and Rhett Saalborn.
STEP-GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Chase and Wyatt Saalborn.
In addition to her husband, Byrniece was also preceded in death by a daughter Karen; and siblings: Edna Walker along with her husband Hart; Marie Shackleton along with her husband Al; Albert Juette along with his wife Catherine; and Howard Juette along with his wife Jean.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 12:00 noon at St. Francis Catholic Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery at a later time. Visitation will be held on Thursday in St. Francis Catholic Church from 11:00 AM until the time of the services at noon. Memorials may be made to St. Francis Catholic Church or to Blessing Foundation for Hospice. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
