Bruce A. Zanger

Bruce A. Zanger, age 60, of Quincy, IL, died on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 in his home. He was born on June 12, 1958 in Quincy the son of Dale & RoseMary (Kuhn) Zanger. He married Kerrie Foster on October 19, 2002. She survives.

Mr. Zanger was a self-employed truck driver with McNay trucking. He formerly had worked at Sisbro trucking and also for Pepsi. He was a graduate of Liberty High School.

Bruce was of the Catholic Faith. He enjoyed being with his family and friends. He also enjoyed fishing. Bruce was very proud of trucking and of owning his own truck.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by:
THREE CHILDREN: Gus Baugher and his fiancé Kimberlee Richie of Columbus, IL; Kayla Obert of Quincy, IL; and Kevin Obert, Jr. and his fiancé Kayla Clingingsmith.
FIVE GRANDCHILDREN: Cole Baugher, Kristen Obert, Hunter Walton, Kace Obert and Karlene Obert.
SIBLINGS: Nancy Zengel, Keith Zanger and his wife Donna; Joyce Mast and her husband Ted; Laura Zanger and her significant other Steve Robertson; Diane Loos and her husband Bob; Lisa Mintle and her husband Kevin; Tina Smith and her husband Mike; Angela Kill and her husband Jeff and John Zanger and his wife Cathy.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, a brother-in-law Rick Zengel, a nephew Tom Mast and a niece Roslin Kill.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 20, 2019 from 3:00 until 6:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Private family services will be held. Memorial may be made to the Family. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

    I am so sorry to learn of Bruce’s passing. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers at this time of painful loss. Rosie’s kids were always very special to mother and this “rubbed off” on me. God Bless!!
