Brenda A. Wosman
Brenda A. Wosman age 65, of 730 South 23rd Street Quincy, died on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 11:15 a.m. in Good Samaritan Home. Brenda was born October 19, 1947 in Rocky Mount, NC, a daughter of Marion and Mary (Hinton) Grimes. She married Jim Wosman on January 6, 1973 in Rocky Mount, NC and he survives.
Brenda worked part-time at Sears and Hardees, and for over twenty years she provided daycare for children.
Brenda was a graduate of Oxford High School in Oxford, NC.
She attended St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church.
Brenda was an avid reader, she enjoyed doing crafts and liked antiques. She really liked her daycare and the kids she cared for. Brenda was always very interested in her grandchildren’s activities and loved them dearly.
In addition to her husband Jim, she is survived by her son Brian Wosman and his wife Amanda of Palmyra, MO; two grandchildren, Haleigh and Nolan Wosman both of Palmyra; a brother, Gene Grimes of Oxford, NC and a sister, Lynn Weiland of Americas, GA.
Brothers and sisters-in-law, John (Kathy) Wosman of St. Louis, MO;
Pat (Dan) Fischer of Peculiar, MO; Sue (Mike) Schwent, Mary Frances (Tom) Saranita all of St. Louis, MO and Rev. Richard Wosman, S.M. of San Antonio, TX.
Many aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews also survive.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 12, 2013 at 9:30a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church by the Rev. Richard Wosman, S.M. Interment will be in Quincy Memorial Park.
Visitation is Sunday evening from 4-7 p.m. at Duker & Haugh, there will be a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Blessing Rieman College of Nursing or to Good Samaritan Home. www.dukerandhaugh.com
