Brandon Jan Smith, age 32, of 628 North 12th, died on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 in Blessing Hospital. He was born on September 19, 1981 in Quincy. Brandon was a welder for Knapheide Manufacturing Co.
Brandon enjoyed motorcycles, fishing, & camping. His greatest enjoyment was the time spent with family & friends.
He is survived by:
TWO CHILDREN: Jayla Ann Smith, and Jayce Alan “Jitterbug” Smith.
HIS MOTHER: Kristin Ann Hawkins and her husband John of Quincy
MATERNAL GRANDFATHER: F. Jan Bengtson
MATERNAL GRANDMOTHER: Sally Perry.
TWO BROTHERS: Nicholas P. Smith and Jamie M. Hawkins.
HIS SOULMATE: Amanda Amador
Numerous other relatives also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 14, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday afternoon from 3:00 until 7:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Family.

Brandon, “P-Nut” was a part of our family for too short of a time. Thank you for all you did for my sis. You were a good man, and will be missed. Even though it was brief, glad I ran into you and saw you one more time. Prayers for the family, and sadness for all family and friends for this loss.

I Always respected Brandon and I know you’d be hard pressed to find anyone who has something bad to say about him. he will be missed by many.
