Bonnie Jean King

Bonnie Jean King, age 83, of 2835 West Bluff Court, died on Friday, April 5, 2013 in her home. She was born on February 19, 1930 in Quincy the daughter of Lambert & Margaret (Lock) Baird. She was a graduate of Liberty High School. She married Maurice W. King on October 16, 1949 in Beverly, IL. He preceded her in death. Mrs. King was a retail clerk for Richard Holland in Sandwich, IL from 1967 until her retirement in 1987. She was a member of Union United Methodist Church.

She is survived by:
FOUR CHILDREN: Terry King of Quincy; Donetta Striegel and her husband Chris of Paw Paw, IL; Steven King of Baylis, IL; and Karla Parkhurst and her husband Mark of Grain Valley, MO.
EIGHT GRANDCHILDREN: Michael Striegel; Adam Striegel, Tasha Voga and her husband Jon; Andrea Brummel and her husband Dave; Cherie King; Brooke Parkhurst; Kelsey Parkhurst; and Kyle Parkhurst.
3 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN
TWO SISTERS: Donna Hofmeister and her husband Roger and Phyllis Reed and her husband Walter.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 8, 2013 at 12:00 Noon at the Union United Methodist Church. Interment in Kingston Cemetery in Kingston, IL. Visitation will be held in the Union United Methodist Church on Monday from 11:00 AM until the time of the services at noon. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the Heart Association. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
