Billy Keith Smith

Billy Keith Smith, age 68, of Quincy, died on Monday, July 4, 2022 in his home after a 10 year battle with multiple myeloma. He was born on October 15, 1953 in Quincy the son of William A. and Helen F. (Rudsel) Smith. He married Debra (Ruebbelke) Wingerter on June 4, 1977. She survives. Billy worked as a machinist for Gardner Denver for 38 years.

Billy was a former member of the Harley River Roads Club. He enjoyed old cars and was very involved with the Tindusters. He was president of Machinist 822 Retiree Club.

In addition to his wife, Billy is also survived by:
TWO SONS: Jeremy L. Wingerter and Shawn M. Smith (Jamie Wheat) all of Quincy.
SIBLINGS: Janet Bringer and Lonnie Smith (Karen)
MOTHER-IN-LAW: Bernadine Ruebbelke
SISTERS-IN-LAW: Nancy Smith and Judy Smith
Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law: Benedict Ruebbelke, brothers: Robert and Tommy Smith, sisters: Betty Rosa and her husband Tony, Dorothy Bringer and her husband Raymond, Carlene ‘Cookie’ Johnson, and Pat ‘Tuni’ Jackson and her husband Jerry, brother-in- law: John Bringer and sister-in-law: Pat Smith.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St. Peter Catholic Church, the Quincy Medical Group Cancer Center, the United Way of Adams County or to the Blessing Foundation for Hospice. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
